bye bye bluebells

I had such a lovely weekend in Dorset. The bluebells were still carpeting the woodland floor but the wild garlic had started and drifts of it lined the roadside like snow. A woodpecker has been marking his territory in the garden and a baby rabbit has moved in behind my pots of parsley.

While Mr S and I are very excited about our trip, we felt very sad to leave. The sky was blue, the larks were calling and we had a quite pang about going.

I’ll be blogging from NYC and L.A. over the next little while and I won’t be posting any Dorset pics for a few weeks, so here are some bluebells and the fabulous gardens at Mintern Magna to keep you going…
